Hey whats going on guys.. My girl just purchased an '08 Nissan Altima Coupe and wanted to install blue LEDs under the dash on both the driver side as well as the passenger side. I was wondering if anyone knew where to wire the LEDs so that it will stay on while the car is on and turn off when the car is switched off. I tried searching for a topic similar to mines and found something in the Armada section of NICO, but I don't think the wiring would be similar to the Altimas. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Welcome to Nico and congrats on your girlfriend's new a/c . I've seen people connecting the wires to the cigarette lighter so it will always be on when the car is on but off when the car is off.

thanks for the replies guys. is there a way to connect the LEDs without connecting them to the battery. I know phobs mentioned connecting them through the cigarette lighter. Anyone have any idea how to do that?

Its a bit tricky, but to get to the back of the cig lighter n the console box up front... You need to remove the box. Theres 2-4 bolts (i dont recall, but it will be detailed in the writeup ill make SURMAN post lol) and just a few tabs you need to pop out.

Take a look at the FSM (full service manual) http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Altima/2008/ it shows exploded views of everything, or wait for surman to write it up.(best idea)LBC

Hey. I put white leds under my dash and my seats and just wired them to the interior lights fuse-you can just find it on the inside of the fuse box cover. Just get a splitter and hide the wires. The leds turn on when you start the engine and my HIDS look like they're extending back into my car--it's pretty dope
