I've got LED high mount stop lights but I'm waiting for an ultra high powered 92 LED dual intensity 7443. My buddy has them in 3157's in his 2007 Shelby GT500 and they're amazing.

I'm a fan of LEDs for marking lights, but not for active lights such as brakes and turn indicators.

hopefully, LED light tech has improved for cars over the past few years. LEDs meant for 12V systems won't last long under 14.4V conditions of a running vehicle.

Even LED festoon bulb dome lights I have in the other car have given me fits even though they only see 14.4 for brief moments and the other LED festoon bulbs I used in the license plate lights didn't last more than a year due to the increased voltage and heat, so Ive gone back to the regular filament bulb in that location. $50/pr LED lights doesn't seem worth it.

As long as the LEDs are designed for 14V and not 12V, everything should be okay. If an LED is marketed for 12V applications, I would be cautious as the lifespan may not be as long as you think it might be.
