LED tail light write up poll

Alright, I'm still trying to get a sense of how many people want me to do a write-up on the LED tails and turn signals seen below. If I get more than 30 positive responses, I'll do it so lemme know by your vote...

There was some company that did the led replacement for our tailights but they were pretty expensive... I'd love to see your write up on how your did it. I think it looks good. Makes me glad i have a spare set of tailights to tinker with:)

Maybe you should take a poll on how many people that are actually serious enough to post a message that they want a write up. Not to be a jackass to everybody else but a written response would justify the time taken to put together the write-up over somebody just going, "meh, yeah that would cool" and just clicks yes with little intention on actually reading the write-up. Just my two cents.

thats a neat idea, leds light up faster and take less power then normal bulbs... is your design incorporating normal bulb sockets or what?

I'm as serious as a viagra overdose with these tailights. i'm curious are these clusters of premade boards of l.e.d's or did you have to wire them all up yourself? i think i'd do small circular clusters of them, kind of a ripoff of the way the g35 tailights light up

Jumbo L.E.D.s like the G35, or regular sized ones? I imagine regular sized L.E.D.s would be a *****, but I bet you could buy them in pre-made circles though.

Awesome! I am really interested in this stuff! The sidemarkers are going to keep me busy while I'm at school and away from my baby :-( I'm really impressed, only one question: did you buy individual LEDs or get them on a board like you did for the sidemarkers? but I'm sure that will come up in the write-up sooo good luck and thanks so very much!!!!

He said he bought the clusters from jmtools.com (under "truck parts and accessories"). He used the Rectangular 3 LED pieces for the sides. I'm assuming then that he used the larger 60 LED clusters for the taillights. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I tried using just straight-up replacement LED bulbs for my car, but due to the angle of the light socket to the taillights and the fact that an LED doesn't have a 360 spectrum of light, I took them out. But I would love to put a board of LEDs in there, so yes a write-up would be beneficial.

couldn't you put a headlight bulb in there instead like a halogen 20% brighter than orignal bulb and it would make it super bright
