LED tail light problem

Hi Guys,

Did a search but couldn't really find anything. Has anyone had any issues swapping their 1157's for LEDs? I purchased some red ones today to swap out and the bulb lights up when I place it in the holder. When I push it down to turn it into place it goes out and no amount of fiddling will get it to work. Slide the old bulb in and turn...works great. Tried other led bulbs and the whole batch does the same thing. Lights up fine until I push it down. Bought 12vdc Eurolite red. Funny thing is they work when I press the brake but not for tails. I thought all 1157 series bulbs were double element/bright.

Thoughts?
