Hey guys. I wanted to replace my sidemarker bulbs with LED or something which will allow them to shine nearly as bright as the headlights. Any inputs?

Just get an LED that relatively matches the output color, if you have clear sidemarkers. Probably a 168

Cool. I appreciate the reply. The regular ones burn too faint to match the intense brightness of the headlights.

The standard bulb for a 2004 G35 Coupe is 194. Don't I need that model or will 168 do the trick?

I believe the 194 is a 2 watt bulb and the 168 is a 3-watt bulb so the 3-watt would be brighter. When it comes to LED's I don't believe it matters from that perspective but lumen output. Without actually seeing the LED's lit it's hard to determine what the real output is. You also have to watch how long the light is because some of the 168/194's that have multiple LED's on it may not fit. I had a similar issue with my wife's '07 sedan where I had to get different ones.

I was thinking about going with Putco Stick LED's. However the brighter ones might be the better option.

I also plan to do a total replace of my interior lights to include Map and Step lights. I also plan on replacing my license plate lighting as well. I prefer to cool look of the white LED's anyway.

Sounds like you have a lot of parts to replace and a bit of effort if you change all interior lighting.

I'm not changing my dash lights. The Map and step lights shouldn't be too bad.

The main issue is quality and what product to use.

I wanna make sure I don't get some POS that stops working in a few weeks.

Also, has anyone had any issues with their side marker not working? The bulb is good, but not sure about the connection. I tried tin foil around the bulb but no luck. I hope it doesn't go too far into the body. That would suck!

People have posted in from time to time about issues but nothing major.

From a quality LED perspective I've had cheap-O LEDs last long and brand name LED's blow out early. I've simply been buying them off ebay and picking the ones that are not super dirt cheap. That way if some of them don't work long I'm bound to have some that do.

Hey there,

I replaced all interior LEDs from VLEDS.com

They have all been great and I had no problems with the order.
