I really wanna do that and change the gauge colors to blue, too, but have no clue where to start or how difficult it would be.

Would be badass for a group buy for you guys its worht a shot.

&the button didn't seem hard to take off at all. You open up the cover bottom part below the steering wheel.
After it will pop open towards the front, that will enable you to reach for the button from the back of it & it comes out as a chip

Hi, its basically just a surface mount led the whole dash is ALOT ALOT of work and sensitive parts its not worth it. If someone is trained enough and there are people that are its time consuming and expensive. The push button alone can be done for 25$ with sending ur own button in to convert or 75$ if u want one used for u.

I am selling all my surface mount LEDS talk to me about either thing. :)

There was a NICO member on here that used to do this mod for folks, but I don't think he's still on here. He used to do the entire gauge cluster!

If u were to send the push start button, what would be used in its place?

That would be surman but he retired from doing the job since its so complicated to do. Wish he would still do it for members

I spoke to Surman about doing another run of these at Carlisle last year (2011) and he said not a chance in hell. Its just way too much work and time involved. He did say he might do 1 or 2 if someone asked him nicely and filled his pockets...

^Your car wouldnt be undriveable. He ships you (or he used to) a spare gauge cluster and you just swap them out. Then you ship yours to him for the work. Never saw a steering wheel though.

Its basically a few hundred surface mount LEDs. You need to be REALLY good at soldering, thats about it. And of course know what LEDs to get for what location you are swapping.
