by working i mean with my led bulbs. the stock flasher is not compatible with the low power bulbs, i bought an LED flasher relay for this. I saw those diagrams in the FSM but another thread during a search of the forum gave me instructions referring to a 98 pathy and he basically said in words where to look, it was no where near the fuse box. according to that drawing id have to remove the fuse block whereas the person that successfully changed the combination flasher said it was way up there to the left of the steering column (had to remove bottom trim to see it)

tommorow i will have more daylight and will look into this more. if i can get at that relay and remove it and try signals...and they dont work, then ill know for sure thats it.

Do you have any pics after they were installed?
Finally got back to my camera, here's the pics of the footwell and potentiometer.

Bump

Are the LED's really bright at night when turned all the way up(distracting at all)? Did you sand them down to increase the output angle?

It would be awesome if the LEDs could be wired up so that they are fully lit when the dome light is on (door open, etc.) and then dim down to the potentiometers level when the dome lights turn off.

When they're lit up at full power they're the perfect brightness to accent the footwells and provide enough illumination to see everything. When I wired these up I wasn't aware of the sanding to diffuse idea so no I didn't do that for these. I imagine that it will give is a softer glow and will probably do it tonight. I'll take some before and after pics with the same exposure.

As far as using dual 12v inputs it could happen if there was a 12v priority switch available. I've work with priority switches for video signals but have never seen one that prioritizes power. I'm sure there's something out there.
