Hey guys,

I suppose this is both my introduction post and a question that I need answered. I have a 91 240SX SE that I recently installed some aftermarket mirrors that have LED turnsignals in them. I want to wire them up so that they come on with my combination lamps and blink as well. Now, I've looked at the wiring harness for the S13 and have found the wires (I think) that I need to patch into, the only problem is that there are two wires, a green with a blue stripe, and a green with a yellow stripe...and oddly enough they are the same colour combination for both left and right...

If this makes any sense to anyone whose dealt with this before, please let me know which wire I have to splice into to get my turnsignals working, and better yet if there is a location in the interior of the car where I can do so!

Thanks!

anybody have any ideas? I've realised now that the turn signals are a dual-filiment bulb, so I won't be able to have my mirrors on and blink with the signals. I just need to know which wire is the actual turn signal wire for each side.

You seem to be on the right track, you should be looking at portions from the steering column switch to the cluster. The indicator lights (L&R) are driven by the same circuit and are single filament. There should be good common point somewhere in those areas. I dont think you will find a better point to wired the mirrors anywhere else. Always check your diagram and use a multimeter to run check and verify unknown voltages,etc....

Sorry, Im not sure of the wiring color, but easy to verify with a little research and multimeter...

Thanks for the reply!

Ya, I was figuring I was just going to have to crawl under there with a meter and figure out which ones are which. The only reason I thought the lamps were a dual-filament was because there are three wires coming off the harness, so I figured it was one for running light and the other to brighten the bulb for the turn-signal. I'll definetly take my time doing this and make sure I find the right wire the first time :S

Try the connector on the hazzard switch.. I'm pretty sure you can get the signal for the flashers there..

Green/yellow is rightandGreen/blue is left

if I'm not mistaken..

Same colors should be present on the actual switch wiring..
