I'm trying to replace my map lights with LEDs but Im not sure what bulbs to get. I looked it up online and it should be 158 so I ordered 158 white LEDs but apparently the bulbs are too big to fit. Any suggestions? Thanks

I used http://superbrightleds.com/cgi...-xhp3

I had to add a little extra solder to make it fit in there snugly. Very bright and nice looking.

If we had a sticky for every thread that told what size light bulb something took we'd have pages and pages of stickies before any actual treads showed up. Just not reasonable IMO

Sorry I wasn't more clear - I meant added to your "300zx Information Thread : Pictures, videos, TT swap info, production info, etc" sticky. Just adding to the library for reference purposes.

In that case - I just ordered one Dome lamp, Fog Lamp and Reverse Bulb. I'll post back with details...

Umm.. The dome light takes a different bulb. It takes a festoon style bulb. I chose this one. Very bright, I bought it in White.

UPDATE:

The Super Bright Reverse/Back-Up Light looks cool but is significantly less bright than the OEM bulb... but it looks cool

Ominous was correct about the map light - my bad for not making sure it was the correct part number.

I'm not even going to bother trying to install the Foglight until I get my JDM Fascia...

Im going to order some led lights for my maps lights, but one of my sockets are gone. Looks like the previus owner has trashed it with some plyers or something. Anyhow, anyone know how I can get a new? or atleast the sparepart number?

Im thinking if I cant get a new socket Im just going to soldier a bulb right to the wires.

Any tips appreciated

There are two options I've found - Call Z1 and tell them what you're looking for. If they don't offer it "new" they'll get it from one of their fleet of parts cars....

or:

Find what you're looking for here:

http://www.courtesyparts.com/3....html

I was missing a center brake light socket, which they had for around $20 shipped... Needless to say I don't have the idiot (brake) light indicator flashing in my instrument cluster anymore....

Uhhh read the above please... I used the 74-xHP3 from http://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo ... -base/228/ and had to do the same as the guy above and solder a bit extra to get them to fit snugly.
