I saw a topis earlier that kinda addressed my issue... but not really, and I can't find it anywhere. I want to replace all the lights (dome, map, door etc) with LED lights, but I dont know what kind of lights are in each of these place in the car. The auto part store down the street sells them for pretty cheap, but i dont know what they are. Thanks

They are 921/168/194 Wedge Base bulbs. You should be able to find these on the internet anywhere. I haven't seen LED bulbs in your typical automotive store, and even if they did, I can't imagine that they would have the good Wide angle LEDS. Check out Superbrightleds.com.

I've replaced all the lights in my 07 G35 Coupe with LEDS. Doors, map, License plate, etc. Ebay has an excellent selection of LED's that work as replacements. Most have adadpters that allow them to be used in the existing housing. It really makes a difference in terms of brightness and get's lots of comments from passengers who notice that they look different from the conventional lighting.

Hope this helps.

They're all basically the same size bulb, just different numbers. So when you're looking for the bulb, and they list any of those numbers I listed, then it'll work. All the interior cabin lights use the same type of bulb, with the exception of the vanity mirror lights and the glove compartment light.

For example, the bulb listed below will work in the 2007 G35 Sedan:

WLED-WHP Pure White High Power 12 VDC Wedge Base bulb (194/168 type)With High Power Pure White LEDOur brightest bulb of this type - Polarized bulb

The bulb listed above can be found here:

Although you can find these for less elsewhere, like ebay.

Which covers are you referring to? I just used a screwdriver to remove the map/dome covers as well as the door sill ones. If you're gentle you shouldn't have any damage. Same goes for the corner lights.

I just installed my lights finally after trying several LED bulbs. I finally settled on LED bulbs that have 6 wide angle LED bulbs on a PCB board. They look great! It doesn't have the warm feeling as the original bulbs, kind of cold looking, but that's what white bulbs do! My brother actually has an LED company that he has started and custom makes LEDs for automotive use. Check it out! http://www.hileds.com/pcb.php.The picture shows the festoon type LED bulb. He also carries the Wedge type PCB bulbs also. I'll try to post some pics when I get the chance.
