so i installed some red LED's inside a while ago, basically maps lights dome light's etc..
so eventually i noticed that even though the car was off you could still see a VERY VERY faint light (red since my LED"s are red) still on, on the map lights and dome light. i keep turning them off when im not using them, because im afraid that if i leave them at neutral they will drain my battery.
has this happened to anyone b4?
any suggestions as to what it might be?
any help would be greatly be appreciated. ty!! :bowrofl:

Hey I've had LED's in my car for about a year. And like u said they stay on but it's faint... I hardly ever turn mine off and I've never had a problem. The thing with LeD's is that they actually take less wattage so it's not that bad. That being said u can manually turn off the map lights by hitting the switch.

it's normal, you don't have to turn them off, the faint light won't drain your battery or anything, plus it will actually turn off after 30 mins. i've had my leds in my car for almost 2 years, never turned any of them off, no problems.

i freaked out too after installing mine (from eBay) and even contacted the seller, but they said its normal. I just manually turn them off to feel better.

however, i dont think there's a way to manually turn off the courtesy lights and that still worries me, despite being told the low dim is normal...

i think the courtesy lights would be the least of the problems. and assuming you turn off your map and dome lights, that already lowers the chance of your battery being drained
