Hi I was looking at getting some led light strips I saw at Walmart that stick on for the grill on the front of my Rogue. Just wondering if these will last in the winter and rain and when I cut them to length do I need to wire from each strip and to where to wire it too so when I turn my headlights on and off they will work the same. Also I want to make sure wiring these won't screw up my electrical. Thanks

Here's a few questions to help you.
What are you trying to achieve?
If you're spending just a few bucks, does it really matter if they don't survive through the winter?
Have you read through this thread? chatroom-emergency-tow-hazard-lights-t5 ... ?hilit=led
Or this one? drl-s-t572402.html?hilit=led
This one's for tail lights, but still has useful info how-to-install-led-kit-in-tail-lights-f ... ?hilit=led

They are only $30 for the strips. Just was wondering if anyone has used them and how long they last.

all aftermarket LED lights: fog, leak, grow moldy, etc. plus they burn out VERY quickly. you'll be lucky if you get 6months out of them looking good. unless you spend good money and get Rigid Industries

A bit pricey, considering I can get strips for as little as $4 on ebay. But I still don't think either option will hold up well. ImStricken's assessment is spot on.

If you're mounting them to be seen, then they'll be exposed to the elements. If you're positioning them behind the grill to create a glow effect, then they might last longer.

I was planning on mounting them behind the grill for a glow effect. They will still be exposed to water. Is there a particular brand and website I can order some that are waterproof?

RED STRIP LIGHT STRIPLIGHT 3 CHIP FORMULA DRIFT 54 LED 36 INCH $14.99
Water Resistant
OK for exterior use. All components are sealed to keep moisture out.
3M Backing
High quality 3M adhesive backing. Just clean and prep any smooth surface, peel and stick the strip light to install.
Cut to Size
Strips feature cut marks every 3 LEDs. If they are too long just cut them down to size.

they all are pretty much exterior. its the UV rays and the piss-poor seals that destroy them. the plastic warps in the heat, and then a pinhole size hole lets in moister, water, dirt, etc.

if the modules are not made by a quality source, and priced to reflect it - its gonna be crap, using crap LED lights. LED's are VERY picky. if they are not super high quality, they are simply 'unpredictable'. they could die, flicker, burn at 50% power, strobe, over heat, etc. furthermore if the seals used on the lights themselves are not done right, the lights will collect moister VERY quickly; within a few months they will turn brown.

In these days, A wide range of designs and colors are available in LED lights. The color of emitting lights depends on the composition and condition of the semi conducting materials used. It can be green, red, yellow, infrared or ultraviolet.
