So I've had my LEDs installed for several months now and no issues. Get in my car last night close the door and notice my map lights and dome lights are still dimly lit after the door has been closed. The only way to turn them off is switching the switch by the lights to the off position. Before i waste my time and start sticking volt/ohm meter on every connection point i wanted to see if anybody has experienced this and found a fix. Its been getting colder these past few days especially at night, my concern is moisture is building up somewhere at a contact point causing current leakage to the bulb. Thoughts?

I also have a full led interior swap and my dome light stays on when the doors are closed. Now I'm no electrical expert but I thought I remembered reading on here somewhere that it has to do with the led lights needing less voltage to light up as opposed to the halogens. And the reason they light up is there is some I guess residual current flow through the interior lighting circuit that wouldn't cause the halogens to light up but it makes the leds look dim. In any regard I don't think its a big issue because it is so little of current but hopefully someone else can chime in and and be more certain.

You could install resistors before the bulb. Try playing with combinations of the map light AND dome light switches.

Alright yea read the same thing about LEDs. I'm just going to let it go, don't feel like messing with the electronics. Just wanted to make sure it was not an issue as I know moisture in the wiring can cause current leakage as well. Thanks guys

I have never had this issue with my interior LEDs. I don't know why, all I did was switch OEM with super bright LEDs.
