I would like to know if anyone has added cat eyes that you see on Audi's and higher end cars. Is is difficult to remove the plastic headlight cover? These lights stick on around the head lamp but not sure how they are wired. I would prefer the lights to be mounted inside the headlamp. If anyone has any DIY pics that would be great. These would look nice with HID lights.

Here is a ink of the lights I would like to get:

taking your headlights apart requires baking them in the oven. its not a big deal, but the cheap LED's out there for the general public are unreliable and burn out frequently. that being said, i wouldn't put them inside my headlight yet. id wait till the cheap Chinese 100hour LEDs are gone off the market. the led's used by audi/bmw/benz are very expensive & reliable. there is a HUGE difference between led quality levels.

Okay these are only $40 maybe I could stick them on the outside but will have to try and figure out a way to wire them but the only way I can see to do this would be to remove the bumper.

run the wire behind the headlight and piggy-back the running light for the amber bulb

I made my PhD on LEDs and I totally agree what ImStricken said about the huge quality difference. In average, current good quality LEDs have 80.000 hours of useful lifetime (the industry uses LM70 standard, which is the time and LED sustains the %70 of its initial light output. So if an LED has LM70 of 80.000 hours, that means, that LED will be have 70 percent of its initial lumen output, brightness, for 80.000 hours...after 80.000 hours, it will still give light but not as bright as before...and in general an LED can run for 100.000 hours).

When you are planning to spend money on LEDs, ask the company where The LEDs are coming from?

If it is Philips Lumileds, Osram OPTO SEMIsemiconductors, Nichia, Cree, go for it...if not STAY AWAY.

By the way, Osram introduced first fog light application for Ford Mustang (http://ledsmagazine.com/products/36404). the future of lighting is LEDs, but just be aware of the cheap products in the market.

i see its asian made, but idk if its Japanese or cheap Chinese.

put it this way, order a few sets of whatever your ordering, because if one side fails in 6months = you want to ensure that you have a back-up. designs change all the time, so you dont want to be stuck with one side working, and the other side broken and no replacement available.
