LED Exterior Door Handle Lights

I found a video on Youtube of a G35 with LEDs behind the door handles that lit up when the car was unlocked. I'd like to do this, too, but Im not sure what color LEDs to use. He used blue (which looks really good with his silver car) but my car is black, so Im afraid that blue might look a bit ricer. I like the bright white LEDs, but they look a little boring and might be too bright. What color would you use if you were going to do this to a black car?

White on black for sure. I was going to do the red ones on my white max, but never got to it.

I decided to go with the white LEDs. They're perfect because you don't have to search ebay for the "super bright" LEDs. I bought mine from AutoZone for $20 (they came in packs of 3, so I had to buy 2 packs). The light they give off is just enough to be bright, but they're not so bright they they yell LOOK AT ME! IM A DOOR HANDLE! when you unlock the car.

Quick How-To (Actual process is a bit more involved):

1) Remove interior door panels and exterior door handles2) Drill small hole up under door handle to mount LED. (Make sure its centered or it will look crappy.)3) Run both + and - LED wires through the grommet and corrugated hose going from the door into the car.4) Ground the negative wire to a bolt on the car body.5) Run the + wire to the dome light via the A pillar (up the side of the windshield).6) To get the wire from the top of the A pillar to the dome light, I ran the wire above the doors until it was about even with the light. Then I removed the light completely so I could use a hangar to pull the wire from the door to the light between the roof and the headliner.

Mod = Somewhat time consuming, but end result is very satisfying.
