Ok, so I got a set of LED Domelight's lights for my car. So here's the installation, and some pics.

DASH BOARD WITH STOCK DOME (in garage with garage lights off)

THE SEATS WITH STOCK DOME

Ok, installation was really easy on one of the lights. The front map light popped right in, and was a 2 minute job. The instructions are written in Japanese, but there are pictures, and a pic is worth a thousand words. It is as simple as changing a light bulb.

FRONT MAP LIGHT INSTALLATION

The rear was not so easy. The "bulb" that plugs into where the old bulb used to be, was the incorrect style. Easily fixed and made to work, with a little tape, wire and some rubber. Just tape a wire to the side of the "bulb" and solder it to where one side of the old bulb was. Put the new "bulb" in place, and wedge a piece of rubber behind it, to keep the "bulb" sitting correctly and current running through it.

REAR FAB'D WORK

Simply pull the plastic off of the adhesive, and stick into place.

All in all, I'm REALLY happy with the lights. They have a really bright glow, and light up the interior VERY WELL. The installation is extremely simple, and only takes a few minutes. I can actually see the things I'm looking for. I'm sure that the fine gentlemen at LED Domelights will be more than willing to send me the correct "bulb" for the rear domelight, when I contact them tomorrow. Remember, that only the '00 & '01, 5th Gens have the single map light, and the '02 & '03, 5th Gens have the dual map lights. Easy to make that mistake. So, if you like what you see, check out their site. They also carry many other lights, so go take a look.

Nice review, brewmeister. I should get some pics of the J30 with the LED dome light. I love mine!

Good info here.

I called LED Domelights today, and they are going to send the correct light for the center dome. Their customer service is outstanding. They listened to what I had to say, and fixed the problem! They said they would ship out the correct light immediately.
