okie so, reason I say hard is that soldering is the most complicated this of course you have to have some experience and knowledge so that the joints last longer periods of time.. Specially with weather changes hot/cold.. The issue that I had is finding out the right colors how to really unsolder the LCD screens and such for example..
The LCD screen I wanted blue so I bought a extra radio and a unsoldering GUN hackko did a ton of re-search and unsolder all the LED's under the screan I believe there were 25 PLCC-2 led's if I am not mistaking. thing is I soldered blue LEDS under there and it gave it to much of a blue hue.. From reading on and re-searching more I determained or am under the impression that I should have used White LEDS and that leave the screen with blue letters..
PLCC-2 LEDS / 1206 LEDS are not to bad to unsolder and solder back on BUT!!!0805 and plcc-4 leds are a royal pain in the but!! 0805 are extremly tiny and plcc-4 have 4 connections so a good soldering iron is a NEED!!!
I read tons of forums with cars like scion and all I could have done it without issue our car is very different..
Anyway lol there are placed to buy the start button online.. the price is like 30 shipped I believe ... I have one brand new one left id sell it to anyone who wants for 25 shipped.. the leds u can buy from a ton of different web sites all different prices.. I have over 200 different LEDS in all different sizes but mostly WHITE and BLUE...
The push start button the top of it the LOCK ACC ON are all PLCC-2 LEDS each one u can make whateva color u want.. The button itself and the ENG word are 0805 and are 2 seperate LED's also.. I would sug having a backup button or something in case u mess it up lol cause the first button I messed up as well as 2 radios now im pretty good at it but once I try something I get upsessed with it untill I get it rigght!!!
So if anyone needs any blue or white LEDS Ill sell them at a good right wateva amount u need.. or the start button
