Know any good Jaguar mechanics in Tyler? Better a pickup, but without the 5.4L Triton V8 or V10. AC is king in the summer here.

The FSM mentions that the dealers were meant to have access to a hitch option, but I stll wouldn't do it.

The spark blowout issue on the Triton engines is overblown, it only happens to people who dont check thier plugs every 20k, they get loose way before they blow out. I am not defending the fact that they say the plugs should last 100k so you dont need to change them. The point is the issue is known, and it can be easily avoided, just preventative maint. My SVT f-150 has great AC, on low fan, low ac on 100 degree day its keeps the cab super cool. I can imagine ever needing max ac + high speed fan

Check Q45tech's thread. It does seem to be a real problem and Ford is foisting the cost onto dealer mechanics and owners.

Why should one have to check plugs every 20K to see if they are still seated?

I am saying every car has its problems this one is easily avoided by the aware consumer, not saying that ford shouldnt fix it just saying it wouldnt, and didnt stop me from getting one. I change mine every 15k. It cheap insurance. Real cheap considering how much it costs to keep the Q on the road

If you cant handle checking your plugs or dont want to take it in every year or two then dont buy one end of story.

But Mcrews wrenches on his Q so I doubt he would have trouble doing plugs on the triton

Its intensely beautiful.
