Just wondering if there are any ill effects from leaving a consult cable/board plugged into the consult plug without hooking to a computer and running software, just driving with it hooked up by itself. I tried searching but couldn't find any info.

I dont think it will matter.. I dont see it doing any damage to anything, i would just make sure the computer cable is unhooked, in case it decides to ground or something.

Mine has been plugged in 24/7 for the last ~10 months, no signs of a problem.

Awesome, thanks for the replies. Wes the switching ecu works great! No problems at all, not even a CEL issue with deleting the egr, a/t and tcs.

I just want to leave it plugged in. It took me about 10 minutes to get it plugged in initially due to the pins on the consult cable. It's not "exactly" meant for the nissan plug but it does work and fit fine, just takes some finesse. I just want to leave it so I can plug in a quick and easy usb cable instead of ****ing with the fragile pins all the time.
