Hi All,

I'm leaving my "M" in a public garage for about a month.
Is there anything special I should do to avoid it being damaged by the elements? (garage is indoor-open, it will get pretty cold)

Thank you

I parked on the street all last winter and had no trouble (other than having to break through about half an inch of ice once). Assuming you have an appropriate antifreeze/coolant mix and winter washer fluid, I would think you would be ok.

Unfortunately, no longer a Nissan or Infiniti, but continuing here at NICO!

Should be okay ...

You might consider disconnecting the battery - or removing some key electrical cables - to avoid having it drain down (sorta secure your car from simple theft too, I suppose).

Thanks, - I think I will disconnect the battery. The garage is littered with CCTV, so I feel like it should be safe enough from criminals.

Dustin: I have no idea what sort of antifreeze it's got... any way to tell?

Spend about $1.98 (US) at an auto parts store for an antifreeze hydrometer and count your floating balls!

What Antz said. Ask the guy at the parts store if the tester doesn't seem to have instructions and you're not sure how many there should be floating.
