The leather on my steering wheel gets real sticky and nasty when it's cold, humid, and raining out. Sometimes when you get in the car and your pant leg drags on the wheel, you get dirt on your pants. I tried to clean it, but with limited results. I need to replace or cover the leather. I see that Wheelskins makes a nice cover. Jamesmost has one in his car. It looks nice enough, but I don't like the fact that all the old leather on the wheel isn't covered. Is there any other option? Do you think that leather reupholster shops replace the leather on the wheel? What would really be nice it the JDM Q steering wheel with the leather and wood. That would be cool, but hard to get and not cost effective. What do you guys think?

Someone put a QX steering wheel in the Q45 and it looked decent...

for the time being, just get a wood grain one from walmart for $5... I like mine, its 3 years old and looks still pretty good...

I use window cleaner to clean that stuff....

Autoanything has a perfect-fitting one for $40. You can get it in two-tone if you want. It covers the wheel then the seams are sewed together so it looks OEM.

Wheel skins work very well too and they are built directly for the application. I replaced my 300ZX one when it was too skanky but the key for me was to take it to a place and get them to install it professional. It looks original, worth the extra $40 bucks they charged me to install, I could not have made it look that good.

louie,i have been using the Wheelskins covers for years they are better than factory leather and fatten up your steering wheel. If u put it on yourself make sure u clean out all of the leather bits from the pre punched holes, or u will have bumps in ur steering wheel. also wear gloves to pull the thread tight or else u will chew up ur hands. also dont pull so hard that u rip the thread,

Yea James, most likely, I will be getting the Wheelskins. I orders some free color samples to get a good match. Demitri, The picture didn't pop up so I couldn't see. I saw the one in James car and it looked good. It still does'n cover the leather on the spokes of the wheel, but I guess I'll have to live with it. I'll be ordering one soon. Thanks guys.

There's a place that sells them for $27.49.

Too bad you can't see the pics. I tried to upload them on the gallery so you could see them but it won't let me. I'll try another file attch.
