So, I was running some errands today, and when I was about to get into my ride I noticed this:

I made a cursory inspection, but I can find no cause for the bulge in the leather. In addition, at one point when I sat down, I could have sworn I heard the distinct sound of a spring popping. (Insert weight jokes here) :ohno:

My passenger seat looks the same. I cannot find anything wrong. The seats feels the same and sits the same. It just looks bad.

Yep, heater is working just fine. My last Rogue didn't do this, and there's nothing visibly wrong with the passenger seat, so I'm lost. If you run your hand across it, there's a distinct feel to the ridge, as if something is pushing it up from underneath, yet when I sit down there's nothing poking or otherwise out of sorts with the seat cushion.

I won't be able to get to the dealership until this Friday, and have not contacted them about this issue.

could be a strap of some form, or the heated element itself:

Took my ride to the dealership. They at first were puzzled that it was just to the right of the center of the seat.

THEM: Do you keep your wallet in your right pocket?
ME: Not while I'm driving, as it's a pain in my a$$. Could it be related to the seat heater?
THEM: Not sure what caused it, but most likely not the heater. We'll take pictures and forward them to Nissan for an assessment. It's still under warranty, so it should be covered.

I had assumed they would replace the seat, but the service manager said they'd re-cover the seat cushion. And being that it's leather and a pain to deal with in cold weather, he wants to wait until it's warmer before attempting to fix it. That's assuming Nissan agrees it's a defect, and will pay to replace it.

So, got a call back from the dealership today. Long story short, Nissan considers this normal wear. If it gets worse I can bring my vehicle back in, they'll take new pictures and resubmit, but don't expect them to do anything.
