Well, I'm a really big fan of leather seats. I enjoy the comfiness, the texture, and whatnot over the cloth seats.

I went to a shop and asked them for an estimate on the 240, they said $350-$500 for installation (which could take anywhere from 3-5 hours).

Buying the material might cost another $300-$600 or so.

Do you think it's worth it?

I don't know about doing the back seats with leather, because

A) I put stuff back there a lotB) There's barely any room for people to sit anywaysC) With the little legroom already, it could get ripped easily

Should I do just the front seats?

And if I only do the front seats, I be better off buying racing seats?

Opinions wanted, thanks!

If it's about $600 for all of it installed, that's a pretty good price.

If you go to http://www.autoleathers.com, they have lots of kits on there, and some members have done that install (do a search for "modified interior"). - Those kits run for about $800-$900 no install.

If your seats are getting uncomfortable (like mine is) - try checking out some racing seats, but keep in mind it's gonna cost you about $600-$800 for good seats (remember you have to get brackets too).

Don't just do the front seat unless you don't mind the interior mismatching.

There's always seat covers for $60 - covers front and back. I have it on mine right now and they look all right. Synthetic leather.

Where are you located anyway, I'd be interested in checking out that shop.

You could always get used seats out of a leather s13 or s14.

Autoleathers looks really good.

I live in Toronto, Canada, so I would much rather find something closer to home, whether it be from a shop or from the internet.

I don't know what the s13 or s14 leather interiors look like. I've tried searching, but for some odd reason nothing has come up. Got any pics?

not worth it. leather gets really hot / really cold in extreme temperature and you slide all over the place in them. leather is a terrible material to make a seat of out if you do any kind of performance driving at all.

The thing is, I don't do much performance driving :rolleyes

Anyways, I think my 10% tint will help with the extreme heat in the summer.

I did my fronts, rears and door panels with Katzkin's leather (http://www.autoleathers.com). Installed it all myself and it ran only $780 w/shipping. If you're the least bit mechanically inclined, have a lot of patience and have a full day or weekend at your disposal, it's worth doing yourself.

Damn, scotty! :ylsuper

That looks really, really good.

I really like the stuff on autoleathers.com, and I really want to purchase my seats from there.

My only problem is the location. I'll have to spend extra $$$ on shipping to Canada. Unless, of course, they have a store in Canada that I can purchase it from.

Maybe I'll plan my next vacation in the states. ;)
