Yup I told you ;) once u steam thats all u will use for entire interior. But advantage on leather is that it actually evens out wrinkles opens pores for the conditioner to actually penetrate into leather and not just in top of leathers urethane coating. Which steamer did you buy ?

Here here for the steam!
If you steam clean, you also remove the dirt and other things that have likely clogged the perforations in the seats and you will increase the air flow for our climate seats. You can look on YouTube for videos of steam cleaning seats. No worries about applying steam - your leather already went through multiple tanning and steaming processes before it ever became a cover for your seats. I use Griot's leather products and couldn't be happier, but many others in here also have products they stand behind - choose one from the posts in here and you can't go wrong.
Cleaning, however, is the key to great leather - regardless of the product you use to maintain it (provided you avoid the ones on late-night telly that have simply make a greasy shine and don't actually feed the leather). Make sure you use products that feed and protect the leather like the ones posted in these threads.

I have never heard of using steam to care for leather in that fashion. I use Leatheriqe products and have found them to be amazing. I allow the oil to "bake" into the leather with the help of the Floride Sun to open up the leather to receive the conditioner per the manufacturers directions. But never heard of doing it with a steamer to clean, it is very interesting and I will be trying it out.

Well done, Slasher. You are doing it proper by letting the leather warm up and it truly does help the pores soak up the conditioner. When I steam, I mainly concentrate on the perforated areas because sweat, dirt, my g/f lotions, and lord-knows-what-else can easily clog them. There is a video below, but even if you don't have his type of steamer, just use the steamer to shoot the steam at the seat surface, then wipe it immedicately with a microfiber towel - regular towels don't grab and hold dirt the way the microfibers can. Then use whichever conditioner you like. I'm a die-hard Griot's Garage fan (as you can see in my photos, LOL), but long as you use premium products like your Leatherique, you will love the results.

I always tell peeps if your leather care product is selling for $5 at the parts shop, its likely NOT very good quality and you're wasting your efforts.

Larz,

Can definatley tell your Griots fan...LOL Your interior/bourbon leather leather looks great. How often do you steam the leather? How often do you condition?

Thanks for the compliment, Slasher.
Yah I am a huge fan of Griot's because I've never found his products to perform any less than he claims, they are all environmentally friendly, and it's easier to buy everything from the same site. His products aren't bargain-priced, but a very small amount of it goes a long way. For example, his #3 Polish and Best Of Show Wax bottles will do the entire car 3-4 times, so it lasts the entire year for me.
Back to the leather:
I'm in South Florida so it's sunny and 80's nearly every day and I rarely put my M in the garage coz it's stuffed with jet skis, a wind surfer, and assorted mess. For my conditions, I steam maybe twice a year, followed by 'G's Leather Rejuvinator' and leave it overnight to soak in. I wipe the interior and seats with 'G's Interior Cleaner' once a month or so and after cleaning, I use 'G's Leather Care' on the seats. You don't need to use much each time, and I'm still on my original bottles of the leather products. They also keep the car smelling like new leather too!

It doesnt look like its working that great. Which steamer u guys use. Also, after i steam i want to condition the leather. Want to try Zaino, but without having to order and wait for it, is there a good store that sells it , or maybe another good conditioner from pep boys/ walmart..etc.

I have been happy with the Leatherique. Except the price and I only get about 2 full conditiongs out of the 16oz oil. All leather in the car front and back only enough oil for 2 applications. But being in Florida is definately a plus when using the conditioner. No need for artificial heat using hair dryers or saran wrap to open up the leather! I use 303 on dash to protect from the FL sun.

Binkster you can pick up some Griots from Advance Auto.
