leather restoring

before i had my 1995 240sx se with black leather seatss. the car lived in texas, which is great because no rust to worry about. but the car did sit in the sun a lot (paint still good) and never had passengers. so the front and rear passenger seats have some fair sized areas of leather that are stiff and dried out.

can i breath some life into these sun damaged seats? if i can will a general leather cleaner/conditioner applied often do it? will i have to remove the seats and the leather from the seats and soak the leather from the backside?

or is this a lost cause and i should just troll auto junkyards for news seats.
