Leather Restoration/Repair

Anybody got any tips for repairing/restoring worn leather seats? The gray seats in my '98 Pathfinder have a lot of severe cracking around the outer edges, but no tears.

Any product out there that you'd recommend to restore the leather and get rid of the cracks?

I've used the kits that are sold at auto parts chain stores. The ones with the little "iron" and you mix your colors. It works pretty well, but it's hard to mix the paint to the exact color. Black leather seats aren't nearly as black as you think they are.
