I cleaned and conditioned our Rogue's interior yesterday with Lexol. We've had it nearly a year (and 16K km) and I hadn't done it yet but noted that the driver's bottom side bolster was showing a hint of wear. I only did the four seating positions because I presumed that the headrests and the centre section in the rear (the smooth inner third of the left side) are not leather. Can someone confirm my presumptions?

You are correct. There is some leather used in the front seats only, the rest is pleather (artificial/faux leather). There's a thread about this for the first gen Rogue, which includes a discussion about how quickly the seats show wear. I believe this applies to the 2nd gen as well.

most of the leather is the sides (bolstered) seating. the rest is durable PLEATHer.

Just a quick update. I queried Nissan Canada about the seats and which parts are leather vs. pleather (or vinyl or whatever you'd like to call it). Incredibly, the distributor of the automobile for Canada advised me to speak to somebody at a dealer, as they did not have this level of technical information! In any event, I finally had the chance to drop into our dealer and speak to the service manager. He advised that the seat bolsters are leather, while the perforated centre is a bonded leather (a thin leather bonded to some man-made material underneath) at all seat locations. He confirmed that the centre section in the rear is not leather (i.e., vinyl of some description) and also advised that the headrests were leather (which surprised me). Anyway, that's what I was told. Whether it's correct, who knows? I'm always somewhat suspicious of the service people at dealerships, who always seem to want to deny everything until they can no longer do so. Personally, I think they have a lot of nerve selling it as a leather interior but I suppose it's been lawyered to death and they would argue that however they present it is within the law. Of course, I don't expect a Rolls Royce treatment but everywhere I touch when I'm sitting should be leather.
