I need to clean/condition the leather in my car. In the past I've used Lexol, and I love the stuff, but I can't find it where I live now and I don't want to wait to mail-order it. What else have you all used that works well? Thanks.

I've found NOTHING that performs like Lexol.

Leatherique and Zaino have great leather products, but they're mail order too.

Are you sure PepBoys doesn't have it?

They do, but the nearest store is an hour away. I'll pick some up next time I'm in that area, but I'm not driving 2 hours for a car I'm selling. On the other hand, I still want to get something that's fairly decent...don't want to buy just any old crap.

You need to go to a Petsmart or like store that has a tack shop. Big quart containers await you there.

geez,,,if you're selling it,,why kill yourself. get whatever,,,even armour all will give your leather a presentable appearance in the short term. it's the long term benifits that you, ultimately, want in a leather conditioner. if it's just to dump the car,,,get whatever's convienant,,,if you want something you'll use to sell the car PLUS a product you want for your new/current car,,,go with the best you can afford/find. can't go wrong with lexol or Zaino as a conditioner and to completely bring neglected leather back to it's soft roots,,,i've found leatherique to be very good. Zaino is mail order and lexol is usually found at pep-boys. leatherique must be mail orderd. for the money,,almost anything can be delivered in a couple days!

Put Armor-All on a Q45 and I'll break out the ban-stick.

Also, the stuff you buy at a tack shop may not be such a great idea - Often, it is for undyed / unsealed leather and may have some coloration in it you don't want...

Exactly. I have 2 Q's. One I'm selling, one I'm keeping. If I can't find Lexol, I'd like to at least get something thats good enough to use on the car I'm going to keep.

Its pretty good. Lexol is the most effective, but it smells like horses. I like starting with Lexol then finishing with Meguiar's.
