So I've been freaking out reading about how easily the paint chips on the G35's and I want to get a Bra for my car. I don't think I'm going to get the 3M clear bra because I have the door protector strips and they drive me insane with how they stand out so I was thinking about getting the bra the dealer has. I was wondering if anyone has run into problems using this like if it scratches the paint or anything. Thanks

If you're asking about the door protectors it was a dealer installed little 3M clear protectant, it looks just like what the clear bra looks like how it sits off the body the thickness of the tape. If its the Leather Bra then I'm asking about the one Infiniti sells on their website.

I used to have a black cobra coupe. Came home late one night from a trip in the rain. Left the bra on it the next day while I was at work, (took my other car to work and forgot about the bra).Took the bra off later the next day to find that the underneath the paint was discolored. Looked milky. Took A LONG time for me to polish it out.Don't think I will ever do the bra thing again.I did like the brand - Colgan

IMO, bras are meant for men to take off of women, not cars!

I'd go with the clear 3M or maybe talk to a body shop about a harder clear coat.

Yeah what I might do is just get the bumper covered and not do the hood so I wont see the stupid line of 3M clingwrap tape stuff.

Thanks SVT, that pretty much sealed me not getting the Bra...I don't want to buy something to protect the paint and then mess it up LOL

Are you kidding - you think the clear side pieces stand out - but a black VINYL bra will not. THe side pieces are thicker that what would be applied as a clear bra.

Most people don't notice the bra - and if you do - so what you are just noticing that your paint is protected - vs - noticing paint chips.

Ever notice how you hardly see the Black Bras anymore?

Good Luck.

I wish i would have had that on my G

I didn't get it new so it is too late to do it now.

If i ever have an accident ... GOD FORBID
