Lease maintenance

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

First time leasing here a have some quick questions

-Are dealers anal on maintenance for leased vehicles?-If not, do they hassle you when its time to return it?

Im pretty good at following regular maintenance schedules but sometimes I would change oil myself or skip the recommended rotation/alignment etc. small things like that and just wondering if I'll get problems if I don't decide to keep it.

Thanks. People who lease and dealer techs (Steve the Tech) are most welcome to reply here!

Your description of "pretty good" service reads like my typical behaviour. I have leased many cars: Audi, Saab, Toyota, Nissan, Mercury and now Infiniti. Never a problem at lease return as long as you have taken reasonable care. Most lease companies (manufacturer or 3rd party) are anal about over mileage, but I have returned cars with spent tires and only once with the second set of wheels/snow tires that I always have financed into the lease captial cost. Never a hassle on return (yet )
