well i got my 95 240sx se about 3 months ago..(i love her)only thing it doesn't have is a LSD, so i'm doing some research. my question is how about learning how to drift, how about in the desert, it just nothing but flat packed dirt for miles here in palmdale area. is this not a good idea to do? i figured it would be safer and it will save the tires. the drawbacks that i could think of, you could get stranded out there and maybe some chipped paint here and there.

i want to learn how but where i live too many cops patrol the streets. so what do you think? thanks

Awesome, I see no drawbacks whatsoever.

i think stay off the streets. it's clear that this is gonna be a huge problem in the years to come, as drifting not only involves criminal speeds and manuevering, but very dangerous handling techniques, people will die because some kid was trying to show up his buddies and *drift yo* around a blind corner. Doesn't Cali have any events you can go to??

the desert is a good place to learn. Just be careful about holes and small dips that could easily make you lose control.

Another idea is to rent out a parking lot and do wet drifting by putting down water. We do that here in Houston because we simply don't have the desert to use :)

How do you go about renting out a parking lot?
