IMHO, that was their best album. I like the new stuff just fine, but I think they peaked with Meteora.

Ya I agree, they trailed off after that. Minutes to Midnight just didnt feel like them. Told the same story but Chesters voice just wasnt there anymore. Between Metrora and Hybrid Theory I love going back to them from time to time. Now I'm more Rise Against and similar. On songza search Rise Against and thats the playlist for me, something like 2 dozen artists and over 100 songs? Its pretty sweet.

This guy I know has the same problem with his cell phones, it's because he plugs the charger in too rough all the time or tries to force it in backwards... You probably don't even notice you do it.

There are quite a few models and brands out there that are notorious for crappy USB ports. I've always figured it's the result of the combination of cheap parts and the tight assembly tolerances of phones.

I've never broken a charging port on anything except for my old HTC EVO View tablet I had last year. They replaced it under warranty though and had it turned around in less than a week.

Speaking of tablets, MoD - I'll have one of these waiting for me on my doorstep tomorrow afternoon when I get home: https://www.asus.com/Tablets_Mobile/ASU ... ad_TF300T/

I sold the iPad on Thursday and the wife is taking my Kindle Fire HD, so I could get something a little more powerful. I picked it up for $239 on a daily deal site

Yeah i'm pretty excited about it. I can finally use Torque on something else aside from my phone. Plus the development community for the thing is pretty strong too, so it should be supported for a while. It will be rooted immediated and loaded with an awesome ROM.

Dev community support plus the clean keyboard integration is one reason I've actually been eyeing Transformer Pads lately.

Yeah it came down to it and the Toshiba Excite 10.1. It was an easy decision after looking at the dev support for both of them though.

Oh dammit. I just realized that the excellent-performing kernel I just started running on my Nexus 7 doesn't support USB OTG. Back to stock.

Mornin' and s***!

So, I'm driving back from the Hospital the other night and I happen to notice that when I come to a stop, my headlights dim a little. Apply throttle, and they brighten. Battery is brand new 3 weeks ago, alternator reads 14.3 at idle.

Thoughts?

I'd post this on the BMW boards, but I generally wanna commit violence when I try and converse with most of those motherfcukers.

Nah, that was lights off. I'll go check what it is with the lights on in a minute.

Ok, measured at the jump starting points under the hood, battery is in the trunk, it reads 14.3 at idle with everything off. 13.5 with the lights on and it drops down to 12.9 to 13 with the blower, lights and radio on.

I've never really tested an electrical system in this manner before. Usually the alt or battery was either dead or not dead. So I don't know if this is normal or not not. I'll try to datalog what the alternator puts out as I'm driving later today.
