Vertreps are at least cool to watch, better then the old cable linkage style Unrep. It was always cool watching the Navy pilots and the Navy Seahawks do the vertreps. So much more power available than our Pavehawks. The Seahawks had the newer engines and were WAY lighter without all the kevlar and various fuel cell configurations.

What was your job during the vertreps?

What was your longest time afloat without hitting port?

I usually stocked the reefers belowdecks. I picked those, because they were the coldest place you'd be for a while, and it was summer in the Arabian Gulf.

The longest time without port was 46 days. That friggin sucked.

I skied in hip deep stuff in the woods on Saturday- flippin' amazing.
But I also rode in a Camry for 10 hours. Ugh. I still can't wash the stank off.

We got the fluffy white stuff here. Amazing that they didn't freak out again this time, many schools are still open, govts etc... and it's still snowing even now.

Its been coming down pretty hard all morning. We have 4 inches right now. Doesn't take much for them to cancel around here...aint like up in Mass where they will delay only after 14" of snow and cancel after 2'...lol.

If it gets cold in TN, they shut everything down. I loved those school days that we got full days off for dustings in grass. I'd go out and do fun stuff like bowling. Was legit. I miss those days of getting out for snow....
