My aftermarket pioneer I bought in '03 has a digital equalizer. My 1st gen eclipse's was factory. Most double DINs today are usually a multi disc changer or touch screen. I want to do some kind of touch screen for my next head unit.

I talked tito through some options last night, i think he has enough info to keep investigating anyway.

So who 'round these parts carries or is a gun enthusiast? I'm shopping around for a carry piece . . . was really eyeing this guy

Sig P290. Its insanely small for a 9mm, and as a carry, I want as small and powerful as possible.

Been drooling over this beauty for a couple days . . . holding back though. (not for a carry, just for funzies)

Colt. That's a pic of WWII era M1911. I want a vintage one sooo bad.

And the second pic was an HK45.

.45 is my caliber of choice as you can tell. I like stopping power :)

The xd sc 9 is pretty nice. Michele used to fire that.

Single DINs can have an equalizer, too. Typically, double DINs allow for more features and will have a better EQ. The folks willing to pony up for a larger screen/navigation/bluetooth/all the other features of a larger HU are typically more concerned with the EQ. Though, there are some really high-end single DIN units that have fantastic EQs.

I've had to do that before, Tito. Though I had no black socks (for some reason), and had to grab some and that haul a** to get there on time.

Cool project. Are those 2x8s?

I built something really similar last year with the same size lumber, though I added legs in the middle. It wouldn't hold a block steady enough to my liking without it. Later, I braced the inside of the outer frame with some 2x6s because the table would wobble sometimes. It was a solid-as$ BMF of a table. What did you use to hold the legs to the frame? I had so much trouble with screws that I switched over to bolts after a bit...

The frame is made of 2x6. The ribs are 2x4s and i have them set 3/4" from the top of the frame so I can fit my MDF top in flush. I secured the legs with 2 carriage bolts that I countersunk into the frame. I'm gonna skin the table with sheet metal at some point, and I didn't wat the carriage bolt heads to get in the way. Once I get the lower supports built, I'll screw the leg into the short side of the frame for added stability. Once it's all built together, I'm gonna shim the underside of the legs to level it once the table is in place. Everything has been glued and screwed together too.

I suck at carpentry, so I'm kind of impressed with myself that this thing hasn't ended up a pile of useless lumber.

Morning. Just doing some laundry right now. Then a whole mess of errands to run. Figured I would poke my head in here and see who was making poor choices.

Pretty sure we don't do anything in here but make poor choices.
