No. There's a problem with the flywheel. Translation: it came from the parts bin and Greg and Jason looked at each other, shrugged, and said, "looks like it'll fit"

Its 50 here (for some stupid reason). I should have removed the car cover, dropped the psi in the miata tires, and drove it today.

Power ended up coming back on a little after 9. NINE. 5:30 until 9. When we called the power company to follow up, they said they couldn't find the source of the problem. WTF?! Look, allow me (I have electrician experience) to explain things: you have power at point A. You do not have power at point C. Problem exists at point B. Solved. It CANNOT be that difficult.

No power outages here. Just similar weather to what Ben described. It never got above 32 here today.

Chris - I forgot to tell you that the wife got me a Kindle Fire HD 7 for Christmas. It's not a powerhouse like the N7, but I still like it a whole lot. Perfect form factor, respectable performance, great interface, and excellent speakers. The only thing that is annoying is the lack of anything Google available on it, but that's nothing that a little hackery can't fix ;)

Heck yeah. If there's a dual-boot solution out there like there was for my nook color, that's the way to go. Keep the stock Kindle stuff as you like it, then boot JellyBean when you want that.

I don't think so. It was cold, but clear and snow-free. We've had plenty of colder days, and snowy days, and colder snowy days over the last month or so, and the power has survived through them. Power company attributes it to a "transmission interruption" which sounds like me like a nonanswer.

Not any ROMs out for it yet sadly, but tons of workarounds. It's just a highly skinned JB anyway, but I've been just sideloading apps since I don't feel the need to root without a Rom out there for it yet.

We had a Prime membership anyways though, so it made sense compared to the Nook and the Nook HD is even more locked down than this currently. I'm sure XDA will break them soon enough though -at least they've been able to get root.

I honestly could not care less though if they don't, because for $174 I could not be happier. I'm glad the wife got me the 7" now too - it fits perfectly in my inside coat pocket.

Exactly. My N7 and Nook Color before it fit in my jacket pockets. N7 fits in my pants pockets...even jeans. Toss a screen protector on and you're set.

Recently, I switched to CM10.1 (4.2) and I'm pretty bummed that I need to expand the Chronus widget to get the weather and other info when I could get all that on 4.1 just by turning on the screen. I might just switch back to CM10. >:|

Speaking of the Kindle Fire, some dev got CM10.1 working on it. They just need to work out bugs and stuff, then I'm sure they'll release a nicer ROM.

Yep. I bought a nice folio case for it and finally ordered a good screen protector Friday. I was convinced that I wanted a 10" tablet originally, but i'm glad that I didn't insist now, because I would've gotten annoyed carrying the bigger tablet along every day with me to work.

I made the switch to CM10.1 and i'm satisfied with it so far now that i've gotten used to it. I tried to go back after having some issues the first day, but that didn't work out so well either. Android 4.2 changes about a lot of the file structure and moves things around, so going back is not an easy task. In fact I think I remember MoD saying something about that when he upgraded his N7.

That's the Kindle Fire(Well it's the 2, but it's nearly the same as the 1st gen). I have the Kindle Fire HD 7(Different specs, OS, and ect). There currently has been no working CM builds on it yet from what i've seen, but rooting it is quite possible and then if you install something like Nova Launcher or Apex Launcher, it works just like regular Android 4.1.

I'm sure a CM build will come along soon enough, but the devs are having a hard time at the moment. Of course, the HP Touchpad Android project looked to be a complete bust and they cracked it in a couple of months. That's still quite a popular tablet to mess around with too. Makes me wish that I would've kept mine... :frown:

Just switch widgets. Plenty of good clock widgets that include weather. Replace Chronus with one of those.

I have AOKP 4.2 on my N7 and the lockscreen widgets kind of annoyed me at first. Now I'm running a user-skinned Beautiful widgets clock with weather on my lockscreen and it's even more useful than the old 4.1 lockscreen stuff was. I can't see myself making use of any more widgets on the lockscreen, but it is neat to have more customization options as far as the clock/weather.

Anyway, everything else 4.2 improves more than makes up for it.

^This.

It took me a couple of days and I was MUCH happier with it than the previous versions. I honestly forgot about Chronus when I switched and now I don't even care about it.

Oh and this is what I did this weekend. Note that the lighting in the second picture isn't nearly as blue as it appears, it's white. I did the entire interior and trunk too, I just didn't feel like uploading all the pics right now.

I absolutely hated the stock lighting in the car, especially since I had just swapped LED's in the Maxima before I got rid of it. Makes a huge difference at night for sure.

This weekend will be new slotted rotors for the front with some upgraded pads to go along with them. The dealer told me the front brakes had 50% or more life when it was there last month, then my mechanic looked and said it had more like 20% left. I hate buying from car dealers :tisk:

I'm not a big fan of the clock + weather apps that use a lot of graphics.
Going to go hunting for a simple 4.1 style widget.

I prefer simple too. Go download "One more clock", it has what you're looking for and a bunch of other great looking clocks. Highly customizable too.

My lockscreen.

(Actually, that's a lie. My lockscreen wallpaper isn't blank. It's boobs. But in the interest of our newly less-boobified learned'd, I modified it a bit for that screenshot.)
