Tried that, many times. The gal at the store tried it too. Nothing worked. She tried to do a system reset or reboot or whatever, and couldn't even get the phone to do that.

They just replaced the phone for me. Now my phone is all new and shiny and perfect again! YAY!

It's most certainly refurbished. I have had mine replaced and Michele just got hers replaced today.

I had my phone on my lap when I was driving the work truck which sits way up in the air. I docked it and went to jump out, my phone took a nice free fall from my lap to the concrete. Screen went black. Didn't crack though. I could still answer calls because I remembered where the slide was.

Michele went to put her phone in her pocket today but missed and it fell to the carpeted floor of work. Same thing that happened to mine happened to hers.

That's weird, cause mine has fallen from over 10ft up before and never did that. Probably the reason he screen started messing up though.

I went to see Jackass 3D last night with Michele and my buddy Staples. It was full of lols. There was a family that brought their ~4 year old daughter with them. I found this very inappropriate.
