Seriously? All you have to do is find the slope, graph the line, and look at where it crosses the x-axis. You fail at algebra 1-2 lol.

Side note, I got a date this weekend. No, it's not Tyler's sister. :gapteeth:

Wouldn't it be 1.6? Or am I being completely slow. Haven't messed with those problems in ages...

Ant, it wouldn't cross at (1,0) as that wouldn't be a straight line.

hell i dunno... is it asking to make a line?

i suppose if it needs to be a line it would be the slope formula s*** sqrt((x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2)

i dunno... i gave up on this s***

plot the points, draw the line and see where it intercepts the x-axis.

FACEPALM!

it wants the x-axis intercept

point slope formula... simple after you put it in point-slope form

y-y1 = m(x-x1)

Bingo

I wish I could just graph it and round the number. lol

mando... all you do is use the points to find the slope... slope = m
then... pick a point... either of the two work... substitute x1 and y1 with that point's coordinates accordingly
then set y to 0
solve for x

Meh just skipped it. It's an online Homework. Got it wrong put the answer for x where the y was suppose to go and vice versa. I would do it again but It would give me a new problem and intercepts are just 1 of a 7 steps/answer in the problem. 97.5% won't kill me...
