It can be yours for the bargin price of $25,000. Look up Classic Mini on ebay...it's a V-TEC Classic mini cooper...no windows, no HVAC...all awesomeness.

I still say Exile is a better album.

check out the Tom Waits stuff I edited into my post. If you've never listened to him, you're missing out.

If you ever wondered if the mockumentary "This is Spinal Tap" and the entire genre of hairmetal shared a common ancestor, this is the answer to that question:

Sweet is a kickass band, BTW. Influenced 20 years of mainstream rock n roll.

More familiar:

Ive started an online motorsports magazine/blog....It will feature a new issue once a month that you can physically flip thru. Greg and I are working out a deal on some cross advertising. I'm told you know your way around motorcycles. That true? I need some advice on a bike that won't start.

I have an '89 Katana 750. 1440 original miles, completely unmolested. Has been sitting for a long while. It cranks but it won't start. I figure it's either spark or fuel, so I pulled the plugs -- they are NGKs (OEM spec) that look brand new & are properly gapped. Electrolytic grease on the nipple and everything. Plug wires are brand new and no sign of crimps or rips through the insulation. Wires are seated well on the plugs. Carbs are gravity-feed, and process for starting is to turn the petcock to "prime" for 30 seconds on full choke to let fuel get to the carbs, then turn it to "Main" so you don't flood it out. But I don't smell any gas or anything. Just cranks and cranks. I took the tank partway off when I checked the plugs and wires, and none of the fuel lines are crimped.
Any ideas what might be the issue?

it has to be in the carbs man. If you havent taken the carbs apart to clean them and/or do a rebuild thats what it is. When bikes sit rarely do people prep them for the downtime, fuel turns to jello in the fuel system. Check the carbs and the pilot/main jets especially because this sounds like the culprit.

Okay, I'll do that. TBH, I was hoping I wouldn't have to, because a carb job on these Kats is an epic PITA, but it is what it is.

Thanks!

I don't suppose you have any interested in spending a weekend in the Chicago 'burbs assisting working on a bike for handshakes and beer?
