I was thinking that they were rear wheel driven, or was that the first generation?

One of you gheys need to buy this car, it's the most cherry 240 I've seen.

If I had 5Gs right now, I'd buy that ish up in a heartbeat.

The 1981-1989 Impulse were RWD, the 1990+ were AWD. But, the whole beauty of getting it would be to tear it apart and see what I can modify while still making it look as original as possible. Besides, the car weighs like a feather, just over 2000 lbs.

Do want. I so don't have the cash for that though. Or I'd be all over that for my fun car...

Oddly enough, you don't see very many of the really cherry cars rolling around. But, Bart was salivating all over it when he saw it as well. So, I guess the whole no-rust thing is like.. the most important selling point? But, for 5200, that's a steal, tbh.

Meh, pretty pricey, IMO. You're paying a huge premium for it being rust-free. And I think I would probably rather have an S13 hatch...

I'd be paying 5k to buy the body essentially. If I'ma have a fun car, that would require a completely new power train and who new suspension at least.

I can't see the pics in the ad. AT/MT? Mileage? Interior/Exterior color? Base/SE? 4-lug/5-lug?

The only problem with owning an Isuzu is that they don't have dealers in the US anymore in case you need that odd part...

It would need a transmission swap, but for an SE with no rust, I mean come on! How many of those do you really find out there?

Bart and I are doing aight. He's working on the silvert again, rear Z brakes, power brace, steering rack, all that jazz.. we're in VA, I'm doing the dirty deed again with the Navy, just as a civilian. Other than that, things are okay, other than the fact that Bart is just waiting on his re-entry into the AF.

Nope. I wouldn't pay more than 4,500 for it personally. And even that would be tough for me to justify. Again, the only part of that car I actually want is the body. Seller is a tard.

chad, i see what you did there...adam, it's easily worth 6k in my mind, a cherry 98...i know the mileage is high but motor and trans is gonna be the first thing to come out to put whatever you want in there and the rest of the car is perfect from what i can see in the pics...98 koukis are raresauce and to me, are worth the price.

Let's see.

$5500 for the car
$1000 for the transmission swap (including used parts, new clutch, rebuild on the transmission, fluid, and time)
$50 for interior door panel
$600 for maintenance -- valve cover gasket, plugs/wires/hoses, oil change, radiator flush, remove timing chain guards, brake-job (new rotors (drilled FTL), pads, caliper rebuild, replace brake lines with steel braided, fluid flush/replace with DOT5 fluid)
$100 for miscellaneous seals and weatherstripping
$1100 for coilovers
$1500 for decent wheels
$600 for tires
$1100 for OEM Kouki skirts and paint-match
Total for car: $11,500

Impressing teenage boys at your local Sonic -- worthless.
