So i got off the phone with the dealership that sold me my car. They told me oil leaks on nissan engines are common and that even if it were to be fixed it would come back in 3 months how true is this ?
(He said it was a leaky valve cover)

the z32 cam cover leak is common....on high milage 20 year old cars, after enough years and miles yes these leaks are common but most of us tackle them when doign other work wiht the plenum off and done right it should not leak for a number of years

i used regular nissan sealant on mine and no problems to report 1 yr an 8k miles later. cleanliness definitely matters most.
