I recently bought a 2006 infi g35 coupe and its been great for me and i love it to death, recently the past 2 weeks its been iffy with me lately, as one night i was out with my friends and i had to drive him home, when we got to his place we both noticed the smell of oil burning so i opened the hood, it was definitely smoking from burning oil no way around that, so i took it to my personal mechanic and put it on his life to check, there was oil all over the scrape guard, the weird thing is neither of us can find where the hell it came from my oil level seem about the same as they have been for awhile now, theres a bit of an oil trail from the dipstick running down from there, but i wiped up all the oil off the underside of the car and there was no more oil leak, there was still oil burning from the extra oil on misc metal parts of the engine being burnt off so i thought nothing of it, but it snowed last night and i drove through it to get to work (only about an inch or so of snow) and i clocked out and got in my car and started backing up only for one of my coworkers to stop me and point out an oil trail in the melted snow so i pulled back in to check it, sure enough it was oil but the weird thing was that there was a clump of snow that fell off from the where the tire sprayed snow into the wheel well that was covered in oil but it wasnt under anything that would leak oil? Im so lost on whats going on with this whole oil thing any help? Any insides?

Were you revving the engine and driving hard when you were driving your friend home?
Also, is your oil level still reading normal?
Did you run over a quart of oil on the highway? hahaha

I was that time yes didnt get to close to redlining it though, but yea i was driving her pretty hard and such but all my fluid levels havent changed much at all other, my best guess is that when rhe dealership got it they over filled the oil and i went a lil to hard on her and she puked but i havent been driving her hard since then so idk

I was with a buddy in a VQ 240 that had that same issue. Turned out his dipstick had a bad rubber seal on it and would dump oil when driven hard.

Maybe take a look at the dipstick and the tube to see if there's oil in that area. Good luck!

^^^ Dip stick o-ring only makes sense if there is a LOT of blow by gasses and it pressurized the crank case.

I suspect you have a leaking valve cover gasket, that is allowing oil to drip on the hot exhaust header/manifold.

Also, double check the oil level after the car sits for 30ish minutes,.
