hi, sorry to start this off on a newbish note. but im planning on doing a fuel line replace and valve cover gaskets next week but when i went to q45.org, all the pictures are expired and when it directs to a forum here its kind of hard to definitively define what exactly i need to get this all done. now here's what ive ordered so far.
http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/ ... 67_72666_0_
im not even sure if this is the right item because im not to familiar with the vh just yet. fairly new car to me.
second off what type of fuel line and how many yards do i need. i know its the 8mm ID but wasnt able to decipher too much more on this. id rather get all everything on this done at once because this is my daily driver and im not exactly walking distance to the nearest bucky's or autozone. any help appreciated, thx.

I'd say start here: http://www.q45.org/plenum.html
If your car is a 92 Id recommend also looking at changing the chain guides.
I believe SR9 fule hose or sr10 if possible ..Im sorry I cant remember the size...

Also link to the FSM http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Q45/1994_Q45/ dont see any lower than 94 hoping it is similar...

:welcome: to NICO!

The 90-93 uses an RTV (a/k/a silicone) gasket. 94-96 uses an actual gasket. So what you ordered is technically correct. You'll need one of what you got per side.

If it were me, I would go with genuine Nissan parts, and use Permatex Gray RTV. Same for fuel hose... OEM. While you're in there you'll want to replace your spark plugs... again OEM specified NGK plugs.

Good luck!

Definitely skip Autozone. The under plenum fuel lines require about a foot of line, but this is metrically sized, so get from Joe at www.infinitipartsusa.com (call them).

Since you will have to go so deep, you should think about the complete under plenum job, including hoses, knock sensors and sub-harness, gaskets, and the attendant cleaning.

Do read the timing chain guide sticky above before you ever start your car again first!

Felpro...Ha I once needed to replace the transmission oil pan on my car and went to a local parts store thinking "a gasket is a gasket". Well I ordered it and got the wrong gasket... apparently Felpro can't make a OEM like transmission pan gasket for our cars.

thanks guys. ive owned this car for about two months now and even though its the cheapest car ive ever bought, its by far my favorite. except gas prices and premium fuel arent too good on the wallet right now.
yes im well versed on the timing chain guide issue and had it checked out by a shop and they said the guides, and injectors were in perfect condition so im just going to risk it until i can save up that extra 1k lol. right now im really looking at torque converters since im having a little shifting issue if i hit too many stop lights. im assuming its a torque converter. so thats the next thing on the list after this plenum job gets done.
