Ok, I have ordered new Venom injectors from NOPI.com. They were cheaper than Summitracing.com too. Got all for for just under 200$. NOw to remind you... While I was removing the old injectors to attempt to just replace some of the orings a piece of the plastic protective cover on one of the injectors broke off (it apparently was already cracked, and fell into the (intkae manifold?) the hole that the injector sits in on the side of the valve cover? So the pice looked pretty small, but what should i do? Can I get to it by removing the valve cover, or do i have to remove the manifold, hope not:( . Or is it not a big deal, doubt that but maybe somebady out there has some advice. Please help, again. Thanks again to you all for all the previous help...:help

the head has to come apart for you to get to the piece you dropped.Just begin pulling the motor apart.Valve cover and then intake manifold.Eventually you'll ge tto removing the head, and that's where it sounds like your piece of plastic is.

Ok, is this is a semi-simple procedure, for someone like me with no training or experience. Kind of learning as i go?

use your Factory Service manual, or Chilton's book, and it shouldn't be too hard.Long yes, but not hard.

:)

Just be very careful that you don't lose any other pieces into the motor. If you're uncomfortable doing this, then let a shop do it.

I bought new injectors right before I did my SR20DET swap. There are still installed on my old KA, and only have about 3,000 miles on them. If anyone is interested, let me know. I will let them go for cheap.

If interested, right me email at [email protected]

Ok, I received my new injectors from NOPI.com and installed them. I spoke to a frind of a friend who is a head mechanic at a local Nissan/Hyundai dealership. He said that cars come in all the time with Pintel's missing and with broken injectors where the small :plastic" pieces have fallen into the Intake manifold. He instructed me to just put it all back together and then start the engine, NOT Revving it up too much. Since it was plastic "Chances" are it would just be passed through the exhaust, or melt/break down due to 1200degree temperatures??? He said that if it sounded FUNNY or was having misfires then I would need to tear down and find the piece, because it probably lodged itself in one of the valves. Well I started the car and let it run for 5-10 minutes, and have been driving it, with my new Venom injectors, for 4 days now with NO problems or any misfires, or knocking!!! And these new injectors ROCK! the only thing is that when the hood is up, I can totally hear each injector working, something I didn't notice before.... Ids this because they tend to be a little "Stronger" than the stock ones? I can notice the difference when accelerating??? Thanks to everyone who helped... Let me know what you think...

They should flow 10% more than stock, but should not require ECU reprogramming to work. Im glad to hear they work for you Bomber240. Now you can add those to your sig line!

BTW i was thinking the same thing about the plastic peice burning up in combustion, but had no proof or experience to back it up with. Glad it all turned out OK!

Thanks JNM240, yeah the advertisement for the injectors does say 10% more flow than stock, and it sure feels like more too! Thanks again... :)

I think i'm gonna buy a set of injectors for my 91 with Leaky injectors. Are the python injectors any good? Has anyone who used them had problems?

I would make sure and check on the ecu upgrade i had a turbo neon with venom injectors said no ecu needed coming home one day the car acted like a sparke plug was grounding out of the coil wasn't firing right, check it out and didn't find any thing drove it home p**** off trying to blow it up (for a pt crusier motor swap) took it to dodge the injectors had the wrong duty cycle and burned the computer out

Would 10% more than stock be past a 91 KA's duty cycle?

10% means they are to flow 10% more fuel than the stock rating i think they might have sent me some older injectors are something just call venom and ask them
