I had this issue dealt with at the dealer for the 3rd time this week. My car only has 100,000km (62,000 miles). It's been a battle with the dealer each time.

The service manager (Downtown Infiniti in Toronto) handled the last repair by telling me nothing was leaking when I picked up the car but yet the Service advisor told me they cleaned up the oil leak and tightened down the bolts when she called to tell me the car wars ready. My car is out of warranty and I don't plan on paying for this repair in the future.

From what I can see this Looks like this is a common issue with this V6. It is BS that infiniti isn't standing up and addressing this issue and some people are on the hook for $100's in repairs and in some cases, several times.

I've filed a complaint with the Ministry of Transprortation up here in Canada and asked them to look into a recall. I also filed a formal complaint against Infiniti with The appropriate govt dept and the BBB.

I plan on calling Infiniti Monday to advise them of my particular issue. I also want some technical answers as to wtf the issue is and why they haven't done soomethig to correct this at the dealer level.

It is only an issue if you rev too high a few too many times before the car has properly warmed up. The problem happens more in the colder winter months since the gasket contracts and hardens more from the cold.
I myself have blown my valve cover gasket 3 times since I bought the car, but it has always been at the start of each winter for the first 3 years of ownership. Then I started taking it easy for the first 10 minutes of driving and all has been good ever since.

I barely drive this car and no chance I'm over revving the engine when it's cold.
