leaking tire??

nothing crazy but i have a 225/45 on my 17x9
they all seem fine but one-which is slowly leaking
it wasnt doing this at first but i just noticed it a few weeks after i get the tires mounted
-do you think it could be fixed by remounting? i dont want to waste money on fat fixing goo for long term reasons
im new to this whole stretch tire thing haha thanks :scratch:

cover the tire in soapy water to see where the leak is.

seems to be leaking out the sidewall between the rubber and my rims lip
i just cant understand WHY! lol

My friends was just having the same problem.
We just burned them off, and got new ones.

sounds like a good idea! haha i can get em for 25 a tire so thats doable
-just sucks the place i go uses fully metal machines..meaning..
if i dont wana scratch my chrome, i tape up everything i dont want rubbed by metal

Its leaking around the bead. The tire needs to be remounted with tire-lube, it helps seal the bead. Cleans off any dust particles in the way.

It could also be corrosion between the wheel and the tire bead... if seen that a lot on aluminum wheels. If that's the case your gonna have to do some wire wheeling, some sanding and probably get a new tire. When remounting the tire, make sure they use the wax based tire lube, as it prevents further corrosion.

my wheel is three weeks old out of the box..so ill just assume the post before yours is the one i should check into..

thanks for the info on the tire lube..i didnt even think leaking out of the bead to be a possiblity until this all happened!
