This morning I took my car for its first carwash (touchless) and when the wash cycle started some water came into my car through the sunroof. Before I call the dealer and book an appointment, has anyone else experienced this? I did a search here and couldn't find anything. I washed my 05 Alty all the time and had no leaks whatsoever.

Thanks!

I know someone who had the problem with a new Maxima and dealership had to replace the track.

I think they have a tsb for sunroof.. it may be related to that or not.. its probably not a tsb for a leak but your leak could be caused by the issue listed in the tsb.

Check the TSB for it to be sure. DO NOT tell the dealer it was from a car wash. Tell them you were washing it yourself with a regular hose and it was leaking. They will use the excuse of "high power jet spay what do you expect" to haggle with you. I have a slight problem with my side windows when I use a car wash... same was with my 05, but it's not major leakage.

Yeah the TSB is for the weather strip. I am with G don't tell them it was from carwash. They should fix it without any issue. I suggest to take it in ASAP before the interior gets soaked and start a mold somewhere or rust.

First, the TSB is for the sunroof finisher and has nothing to do with leaks. I am familiar with a person who had a leak issue but it was only at one particular car wash and it was a high power wash. We took it to three other washes and did not see any leaks. Check it out at a different car wash and see if it happens again. Dealer needs to make sure that the drain tubes are working and that there is no play in the asy... Take it to the dealer ASAP.
