Leaking Sunroof seal (not plugged drains)

I pulled the pane. Don't see anything unusual. The only thing I can come up with is maybe somehow there's a leak in the back of the gutter and since the nose is a bit down it's flowing forward. I'm stumped on this one.

On gen2's the water always flows forward when the car is level. That's the roof angle on most cars, the only Nissans which come to mind that are different are Jukes and Altima coupes. If the water in the movable gutter is hitting the side channels the way it's supposed to, the only thing left is a leaking sunroof frame. That's rare but it does happen.

I suppose removal would be the only way to find out...

No, with the headliner down you should be able to pour water in the channel and see it. When the frames fail it's most often at the front corner seals, so on most frames the water will be coming out from the cable tracks at the front of the frame. The frames aren't actually all that hard to remove, it's all 10mm nuts and screws. Two supports on each side and a bunch of studs around the perimeter. Replacing the unit is harder because you just get the frame itself with cables, you need to transfer all the sunshade hardware and the center gutter.

Thanks for the help, it's much appreciated. I'm going to take a break for a day and try to tackle dropping the headliner further on Wednesday. I'm guessing if I drop that back handle I might be able to pull it down enough to see.
