I think the part is inexpensive and I can consult a manual on how to do it. If I decided to DIY it, do they come with all the necessary bushing and kits? What is the most popular brand? KYB, Monroe, Pro-Comp, Bilstein, others?

I can also ask my cousin to help me put it in. This is for my 2009 S Rogue and only one shock absorber is bad.

Thanks,
Tik

You should always replace them in pairs in order to maintain correct geometry of the car and decent handling,. tire wear etc. If its the back ones both back ones, if its a front one, both front...

They arent that hard to change but you may need some specialist tools like spring compressors etc..

you wont need spring compressors, because the springs & shocks are separate in the rear; unlike the front. you'll need basic tools, a jack & stands. and regarding the bushings: it depends on the kit you buy. all the brands you named are good brands.

if you're there already - might as well replace the spray bar links too.
