OK so I just found out my radiator is leaking from the upper hose and low and behold the same thing happened to me on my previous pathfinder.

Cracked upper inlet!!!! AARRGGGHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Is this a common thing for R50's?! I mean, yeah the truck is 14 years old so I guess it's time? I realize plastic will degrade over time due to heat and the elements and will become more brittle. But man now I got bit twice! :tisk:

Yeh prob right. I did recently replace the thermostat so when re-tightening the hose clamps could have slightly over tightened an already weak inlet piping causing the crack.

Normal. I replaced mine two years ago. 2002 Pathfinder. Same problem.

Yeah I figured. Well I replaced mine today with a Denso unit along with the upper and lower hoses. Lets see if it lasts.

I replaced the oem one on my 02' about 6 months ago also. Can't complain, it was trouble-free for 14 years and about 120k+ miles. Cost me only about $65 for an aftermarket so it didnt break the bank either.

Well I replaced my at 100k on 2001 Pathfinder and I got a another pathfinder 2002 and it has 144k on it now not a problem yet. Honestly I do a lot a long trips right now and I think I should replace it just in case it breaks on the road during a camping trip.

Might be a good idea for peace of mind don't want to break down in the middle of nowhere.
