Went in to store yesterday and came out to a pool of radiator fluid. It looks like it leaking under the mani. where all the hoses connect so I think it is just a louse hose. On my car it looked like someone put a hose that loops under the mani and connects back to the block. my question is, is this where the heater core should connect? My heater doesn’t work and I was wondering if some one looped the hose to bypass the heater coil or it connects somewhere else.

so your leaking anti-freeze more near the firewall and between the intake????

in the first pic u sent if i'm looking right... the heater core hoses are not that long.. they are short... the connections for them should be 1 on the block and 1 on way far back on the intake mainfold somewhere.

thats how my ka24e is setup.. but i also did have a ka24de if i remmeber right

but i know for sure in the first picture if the blue lines you have there from painting in ms.paint.. those are not the heater core lines.. they are not that long.

I believe that the hose highlighted in the pic, the smaller one, is the one that goes to the throttle body. It goes through the throttle body and then routes around back to the main coolont lines. If its the bigger one then i dont know

if you dont see a hose out, then maybe you blew your intake manifold gasket, no big deal, like 6 dollars for the set.

your car physically doesn't have those hoses? or they are hooked up and just dont work, because that could be a serious problem

I know there is a hose stock that goes where and loops just like you explain, but without a real pic its pretty hard to tell

Thanks for everyone's help but I figured it out that wasn't the hose that is leaking. The larger hose highlighted is a coolent bypass hose it goes from where the top radiator hose connects at the intake to where the bottom radiator hose connects at the timing chain cover. If loopes around underneath the intake. The hose that was leaking (which I found out after replacing every other one) is the one in the picture that this guy has zip tied. It come out of the block and conects to a metal tube under the intake mainifold. No clue what the metal tube goes to. Hope you never have to replace this. I ended up haveing to remove all the other hoses, then the throttle body, and then cut the hose off, just to be able to get a pair of pliers in there to remove the great style of hose clamps that where used.
